Amelia joined Chambers in September 2017, having completed pupillage and then commenced practice at 1 Gray’s Inn Square.
Amelia accepts instructions in all areas of Family Law. She represents local authorities, parents and children in public law proceedings. She also regularly represents parents in private children cases and also undertakes financial relief work.
She has experience of immigration law and so is well-equipped to deal with family cases which also involve immigration issues.
Amelia has been particularly commended for her sensitive and patient approach when working with clients who have learning difficulties or a mental illness.
Amelia read Spanish and Italian at Bristol University. She was awarded an Inner Temple Exhibition Award for her GDL and BPTC. She achieved an Outstanding on the BPTC and was then called to the Bar in 2014.
Amelia also undertakes pro bono work, representing parents of children with special needs in the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunals.
She is qualified to accept direct access instructions.
