Practice Profile
Damian has practised almost exclusively in the field of family law, first as a solicitor and, latterly, at the Bar, dealing with public and private law children matters and ancillary relief proceedings.
Considered to be dogged and thorough in cross examination (and sympathetic as appropriate); Damian has a specific interest in cases involving suspected non-accidental injuries. He has represented a wide variety of local authorities (from Inner London Boroughs to Shire Counties), parents, extended family members and children in proceedings at all levels of court from The Family Proceedings Court to The Court of Appeal. Damian also undertakes work in the Court of Protection and in child abduction.
As a solicitor, Damian was a member of The Law Society's Children Panel and so represented children both through their Guardians and those who were separately represented. He has an easy manner with professionals and lay clients alike.
Damian will provide training for individual firms or local authorities and will also provide written advices and opinions as required.
