My practice covers all areas of family law with particular focus on public law children cases. Within this area I regularly but not exclusively represent Local Authorities. I am also happily instructed in ancillary relief cases and enjoy the different challenges that this area of work entails. I offer out of hours emergency advice and representation.

Relevant experience:

I regularly appear in all levels of court from FPC through to the High Court. I have conducted contested cases at all levels. I also appear in the Crown Court on PII matters. I have extensive experience in drafting (including pleadings, skeleton arguments, practice directions documents, threshold documents and Advices)

Other relevant information / interests:

For the last 4 years I have given training courses to Local Authority Social Workers, Team Managers and more recently social work university students. These courses range from introduction to giving evidence to more advanced courses on recent legal developments. I am actively involved in chamber’s management and am involved with student recruitment at my Inn. I am an approved Pupil Supervisor. Football; I am an increasingly unhappy Liverpool fan.
