New Court Chambers regularly hosts seminars at New Court Chambers, Temple, London EC4Y 9BE and such seminars are registered with the Law Society for CPD accreditation. Seminars are open to all interested persons or to an in-house group. We are able to offer these at a time that suits you and your colleagues, usually without charge. Depending on numbers, we are happy either to present the seminar in-house or to arrange an alternative venue. In addition to the speakers, we would normally propose to send along some of our other members who have an interest in the seminar topic, and who would be on hand to answer any questions that may arise.
Recent seminars have included:
Local Authority duties under s17 and s20 Children Act 1989
The law and guidance surrounding the placement of children abroad including a review of Placement Orders and Adoption Orders
Adoption and Special Guardianship recent case law and guidance about which local authority is responsible for Special Guardianship Order payment issues
