Hannah Watson is a specialist barrister practising in all areas of family law, both public and private.
Hannah joined Chambers in October 2025, following completion of her pupillage.
Prior to starting Pupillage, Hannah studied French and Spanish at the University of Edinburgh and had a successful career in Financial Services Marketing. She completed the Law Conversion Course (PgDL) and the Bar Practice Course at the University of Law.
Hannah is regularly instructed across all areas of public proceedings in cases involving chronic neglect, parental substance abuse, mental health issues, and concerns around domestic abuse. Hannah accepts instructions to represent local authorities, children’s guardians, parents, and intervenors. Hannah has further experience appearing in applications for forced marriage protection orders and has appeared regularly in the DOL court for the applicant party.
Hannah has a growing private law practice, representing applicants and respondents in s8 Children Act 1989 proceedings, including cases which have involved serious allegations of domestic and physical abuse and where a guardian has been appointed under rule 16.4. Hannah has appeared in DRAs and contested final hearings.
