Prior to commencing pupillage in October 2023, Isabella worked as a paralegal at a tier 1 Family law firm, assisting in predominantly Public law care, and Private law children matters.
Whilst at university, she volunteered with the Historic Sexual Abuse unit of the Cardiff Innocence Project.
Isabella has a particular interest in the common features of Court of Protection work and Family proceedings, including vulnerable parties, children with disabilities, best interests in medical treatment decisions and deprivation of liberty orders. During her undergraduate degree Isabella studied healthcare and ethics, and during her masters Isabella studied interdepartmental modules in ‘Cognitive Neuroscience’ and ‘Sociology of Illness’ to further develop her understanding in these areas.
