New Court Chambers -

Jemimah Hendrick and Samuel Prout in London Borough of Y v M & Ors [2026] EWFC 117 (B) – Final Hearing Welfare Determination

News 24th June 2026

Members of chambers appeared in London Borough of Y v M & Ors [2026] EWFC 117 (B), the welfare stage of proceedings, following the earlier fact-finding judgment in London Borough of Y and M, FA, FB etc [2025] EWFC 232 (B).

Jemimah Hendrick represented a parent and secured a favourable child arrangements outcome at the final hearing, notwithstanding previous findings that harm had been inflicted upon a child. The case required the court to undertake a careful welfare analysis in light of the earlier findings and the evidence as it stood at the final hearing.

Samuel Prout represented the local authority throughout the welfare proceedings.

The judgment can be read here: https://caselaw.nationalarchives.gov.uk/ewfc/b/2026/117
